it was good to be with family this thanksgiving. this year was spent with my side of the family. fourteen or so of us packed in to my aunt and uncle’s for a day of great food and hanging out. we feasted on roasted turkey and stuffing, baked spiral ham, sweet potatoes, baked mac n cheese, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes, spiced apples and pears, and green beans – i was so stuffed. and then i ate dessert. mini pecan and tollhouse chocolate pies and gooey butter pumpkin cake.
after lunch we all bundled up and went for a walk around the neighbhorhood – it was a chilly day, but the sun was out and it felt wonderful just to move after so much food. we looked like a group of lost carolers as we trooped down the street.
back inside we got hooked on a game of dominos until i had to say goodbye to ross for the night (he had to work the next day). i shot some video and took some pictures and we laughed until we cried at some old Cosby Show reruns. and conforming to tradition at my aunt and uncle’s, we finished the night off with a relaxing dip in the hot tub. so amazing on a cold night.
